Guest Artist - Raquel Irizarry, Mi Nueva York

ART FOR EVERYONE- Artist Raquel Irizarry believes that art should be made available to everyone and has developed the concept of selling her art to the public for what they think it's worth and what they can afford. The basic cost of producing and carrying cost of bringing the art to the show would need to be covered, which will vary from piece to piece but might be no higher than $25 in some cases. In selling her art in a way that everyone can afford it, she will be able to share her art with a wider audience and no one will be excluded. She is sure that the karmic return of this scheme will far outweigh her efforts.

Photo exhibit at the station, weekend of October 25-26. Hope to see you there!

A photo of the artist as a middle-aged man

A photo from the studio tour - thanks to Steve K. for shooting this photo when he visited, and even more for sending it!

PS - the picture on the left is by an artist named Parma Rinaldi (aka Pauline Legant) purchased on eBay, and not altered by me in any way - I think it is perfect "as is"

A note about the paintings

I'm working on a series of paintings using "found" images (paintings, photographs, objects) collaged together.

The painting "Not Belvedere" in the post below this one started as a painting of a couple by an unknown artist which I found on eBay:
